Kennen leads as Rengar, Azir, and Diana reshape the top five

Kennen and Master Yi hold first and second. Rengar climbs to third, Azir moves to fourth, and Diana's six wins move her to fifth. For tournament prep, add Rengar's replay turns, Azir's Soldier pile, and Diana's Moonfall and Hwei movement to the gauntlet instead of testing only against the two most-played leaders.

What to prepare for

  1. Start with Kennen and Master Yi

Give the top two most of your early reps. Kennen has 6 wins and 51 Top 8s; Master Yi has 6 wins and 41 Top 8s. Your deck needs a way to interrupt Kennen's setup and make Yi spend protection before the fight that matters. If it can't do both, fix that before tuning for the rest of the field.

  2. Thrill is the card to watch against Rengar

Rengar jumped from #9 to #3 with 3 wins and 16 Top 8s. Thrill of the Hunt can replay First Mate to ready another unit. Replaying Pit Rookie gives another unbuffed friendly unit +1, and Pridestalker can add another +1 for the turn. Make the Rengar player use Thrill before you commit your best removal. Keep both battlefields busy so they have to choose which fight to save.

  3. Azir and Diana need separate test games

Azir is #4 and Diana #5, but they should not share a test slot. Against Azir, remove Equipment before Arise! makes one Sand Soldier for each Equipment the Azir player still controls, then stop Azir, Sovereign from pulling every token into one fight. Diana is a different game: spread your pressure and don't let Hwei, Brooding Painter survive to a Ride the Wind turn. If Hwei discards a unit after moving, it goes from 5 to 8 Might for the turn.

No wins and no Top 8s put Zed #44 in D tier. Death Mark is the whole deck: Burn three, make a 0-Might Shadow Clone, then attack and banish a unit from trash so the Clone gains Assault 4 and Zed becomes empowered for his loot action. Stacked Deck into Noxus Hopeful is the clean support line, and Ride the Wind can either filter with Traveling Merchant or give Shadow Order Disciple another point of Might. Remove the attack window or empty the trash, and the Clone stays setup instead of pressure.

No wins and no Top 8s put Pyke #45 in D tier. The bounce is not free tempo. Bloodharbor Ripper pays 1 Energy to return one of your battlefield units to hand and make an exhausted Gold; at Ripper's Bay, that same line can also channel an exhausted rune. Fizz is the sharper trick, replaying Falling Star or Void Seeker from trash for the same Power cost, and Matriarch can replay Bewitching Spirit later. Hit the lane Pyke just emptied, because the resources arrive later than the missing unit.

No wins and no Top 8s put Renata Glasc #46 in D tier. This deck only gets paid after it already held. Chem-Baroness can exhaust after a Hold to make an exhausted Gold, and Jayce, Man of Progress can later cash a Gear in so the next one ignores its Energy cost. Industrialist is the combat swing, making Keeper of Masks' Reflection tokens enter ready. Hostile Takeover into Cull the Weak is the dirty line. Break the first Hold, because none of the saved Gold helps the turn that created it.

No wins and no Top 8s put Jhin #47 in D tier. Expect four-Energy spell turns, not unit pressure. Curtain Call already qualifies both Virtuoso and Meticulous Killer before any Repeat payments, so one cast can store itself and let Jhin come down for 1 Mind Power. Deadly Flourish does the same while leaving Gold behind if the target dies, and Temporal Breach can replay Thousand-Tailed Watcher for another board-wide -3. Pressure the first three qualifying spells; if Jhin gets the fourth, the four-rune swing is real.

No wins and no Top 8s put Shen #48 in D tier. The exact-two-unit defense is the trap. Disciple of Shen and Hand Hammer both want exactly one other friendly unit beside them, then Shadow Dash moves an enemy in and gives both defenders +1 if the formation is still intact. Eye of Twilight can give one defender Tank, and Ki Barrier protects that same unit from the next 7 damage. A third friendly unit turns the bonuses off, so widen the fight or overload the Tank target and the whole formation gets worse fast.

How this snapshot is built

Rankings cover the full set from release, with newer events counting more on a 35-day half-life. The score balances how likely you are to face a Legend, high finishes relative to event size, repeated Top 8s, finish quality, and tournament wins.

This snapshot covers July 24, 2026 through August 16, 2026. These events did not publish full round-by-round pairings, so this page does not claim matchup win rates. Deck and interaction notes use only complete published decklists. An incomplete decklist can still count toward a finish, but not toward card-level conclusions. Garen had no tournament entry in this window, so it is not ranked here.
