What Draven Rewards
Glorious Executioner · printed ability
“When you win a combat, draw 1. (You win if only your units remain after combat.)”
Draven rewards planning; the Legend ability helps you turn sequencing and card flow into better battlefield decisions.
How it plays
The Game Plan
The plan is to engineer combats where only your units remain. Every won combat can draw a card, so cheap attackers, Might boosts, and protection effects become a draw engine when the math is right.
Strengths
- Draws from winning combat
- Excellent pressure when ahead
- Turns combat tricks into card advantage
Watch Outs
- Draw engine fails if fights trade evenly
- Needs favorable combat math
- Can be contained by sturdy blockers
Turn by Turn
- 1Early: present attackers that force the opponent to block before their board is ready.
- 2Midgame: use Fury/Chaos tricks to make combats one-sided so Draven replaces the card spent.
- 3Late: keep only the pressure lines that still win combat; reckless trades stop the draw engine.
New to this Legend? Pick Draven if you want aggressive games where the reward for good attack math is another card, not just a point.
