A Standard Move into an occupied battlefield starts a fight at once, and unless Paragon is on the board, a gear with Deploy cannot be played during it, so Demacian Standard goes first. The Legend's trigger gets this order for free, since the gear is already there when your unit arrives. Combat starts once the chain is empty, with your unit attacking, and Demacian Standard gives one attacker +2 Might this turn: a 4-Might unit fights a 5-Might defender at six Might, killing it and surviving five damage. Without the +2 the unit dies and the defender survives, so count the defender's Might before choosing who moves.

Royal Heir attacks at eight Might because of Assault, and Tank means the opponent must assign him lethal damage before any of your other units. With Demacian Standard on that battlefield, give him its +2 and he is ten Might, so defenders totaling nine Might put all nine on him, he survives, and the unit he moved in with his attack trigger takes nothing. Without the +2, eight damage kills him and the ninth reaches his partner. That partner counts as an attacker once it arrives. Before choosing it, check whether pulling it off another battlefield leaves that point undefended.

Paragon gives your gear with Deploy Action, so you can play one during a showdown on the opponent's turn and use the Legend to move a defender in. If a 5-Might attacker moves onto your 3-Might unit, adding Paragon makes seven Might of defenders and the attacker dies, but the opponent assigns its five damage and can kill Paragon, ending his Action grant. When that grant matters for later turns, move in another unit with three or more Might: the attacker still dies and you lose at most one unit. The Legend must be ready, so using it on your turn gives up this defense until your next Awaken Phase.
